Environmental protection -
Commitment and constant challenge |
| The handling of dangerous goods belongs without any doubt to everyday life in the chemical industry. Numerous materials which are also treated in our company include risks. They can be harmful to health, caustic or easily inflammable. |
| We are conscious about the responsibility when handling these dangerous goods. This comprises all aspects of the development via the production, storage and transport to the disposal of residual materials. |
| Consistently Dr. Hesse attaches great importance to the compliance with all valid safety regulations for the protection of the environment. In-house the principle is to tackle a problem which is found to be necessary even if there is no legal and no authoritative obligation. |
| This is especially valid for the fields: |
| Water protection: |
Cleaning of production waste water in the modern in-house waste water plant;
safeguards in order to prevent water pollution in case of occurring hazardous incidents (e.g. fire water retaining bassin). |
| Immission control: |
Cleaning of exhaust air via exhaust air scrubber;
establishment of special storage locations; extensive organisational and plant-technical measurements for the preventation of hazardours incidents. |
Transport of
dangerous goods: |
Appropriate packaging of dangerous goods;
loading security. |
Residual materials
and wastes: |
The avoidance of waste is favoured to its utilisation;
waste utilisation is favoured to waste disposal. |
| All these aspects are incorporated in our quality management system. This is subject next to the external controls also to the internal controls and improvement processes. |
